Joel Iskowitz, selected by the National Endowment for the Arts, is a Master Designer for the United States Mint's Artistic Infusion Program which creates our nations' coins and medals. He is the designer of the 2006 American Eagle Platinum Proof coin reverse, “Legislative Muse" and over 10 other US coins.

JOEL ISKOWITZ WIDELY RECOGNIZED AWARD WINNING ARTIST Joel Iskowitz, who will create your stamp, is among the world's most prominent stamp artists with over 2,500 stamp issues to his credit. His postage stamp commissioned work includes Bob Marley; Elvis Presley; Muhammad Ali; Michael Jordan; Madonna; John Lennon and Yoko Ono; Marilyn Monroe; Princess Diana; Chow Yun-Fat; Bing Crosby; Louis Armstrong; Presidents Roosevelt, Kennedy, Truman; Gandhi; Prime Minister Churchill; Mother Teresa; and many other notables in music, politics, sports, and business.
Mr. Iskowitz's work has been issued in over 40 nations including Antigua, Bahamas, Ghana, Tanzania, St. Vincent, the UK, Dominica, Grenada, Sierra Leone, St. Kitts, and Nicaragua.
Mr. Iskowitz's original art is found in major museums, such as the New York Historical Society,the Historical society of Carentan ,France,the East room of the White House,the Smithsonian Museum,the Lincoln Presdential Library, Home and Old State House Historic Sites in Springfield Ill. and many galleries, and private collections around the world. His aviation artwork is also on permanent display at the NASA Kennedy Space Center Museum,Wright-Patterson AFB, , the New Air Terminal in Ramstien,Germany as well as the distinguished visitor's lounge at Andrews AFB, and in the Pentagon. Mr. Iskowitz is one of 5 Master Designers for the US Mint, chosen by the National Endowment for the Arts, and had seventeen of his designs selected for minting by the United States of America.

In 2004, Mr. Iskowitz was commissioned by the USAF to create a major painting to document the history and operations of the USAF presence in Europe. He created a mural for the new air terminal building in Ramstein Air Base. He was honored in Germany as the recipient of this commission.
A multinational stamp tribute commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the First Trans-Atlantic Solo Flight of Charles Lindbergh, was designed by Joel Iskowitz. It was released in conjunction with ceremonies at the new Aviation Museum at Roosevelt Field, New York -- Lindbergh's point of departure for France, and his place in history.

Mr. Iskowitz's artwork has been featured in many international journals including profiles of his philatelic art in Watercolor Magazine and his murals in Exhibit Builder Magazine.His Numismatic art has been featured in publications such as Smithsonian Profiles,Coinworld,CoinAge and the Numismatist .
Among his many awards are nine USAF citations; the UK's Stamp of the Month; and the www.portfolios.com June 2004 Silver Medal - winning the honor over 1,8000 other artists, and again in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
