The National Endowment for the Arts has selected Joel Iskowitz to be awarded the designation of Master Designer to join the United States Mint's Artistic Infusion Program which creates our nations' coins and medals. UPDATE: January 15, 2008 A new Silver Dollar Commemorative Coin with Joel's artwork depicting a bald eagle soaring in full flight will be released by the United States Mint. Also to be released in 2008 is Joel's American Platinum Eagle reverse coin design honoring the Judicial Branch of Government, the Arizona Statehood Quarter Dollar depicting the Grand Canyon and a Saguaro Cactus desert scene and the Elizabeth Monroe first Spouse Gold Coin. Just unveiled by the U.S.Mint before the New Year were the next four Presidential dollar coins honoring James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren.
