National Endowment for the Arts has selected Joel Iskowitz to be awarded the designation of Master Designer to join the United
States Mint's Artistic Infusion Program which creates our nations' coins and medals. UPDATE:
11/12/08 JOEL ISKOWITZ CHOSEN TO CREATE oil painting to honor"The Filthy 13",those hero's of WWll who's heroic DDAY exploits
were the inspiration of the movie" The Dirty Dozen":An Artist's Proof is in the permanent collection of the Carentan Historical
Society,Brévands, France. A special limited edition of this historic painting is available at Victory Art Gallery.com.

UPDATE: January 15, 2008 A new Silver Dollar Commemorative Coin
with Joel's artwork depicting a bald eagle soaring in full flight will be released by the United States Mint. Also to
be released in 2008 is Joel's American Platinum Eagle reverse coin design honoring the Judicial Branch of Government, the
Arizona Statehood Quarter Dollar depicting the Grand Canyon and a Saguaro Cactus desert scene and the Elizabeth Monroe first
Spouse Gold Coin. Just unveiled by the U.S.Mint before the New Year were the next four Presidential dollar coins honoring
James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren. The portraits of Jackson and Van Buren were created
by Joel and this brings his presidential dollar design credits to four out of the first eight presidents in the series!
